Robertson Stephens Wealth Management Juran, founder of Juran Wealth Management, brings more than 40 years of financial services experience, having worked at Morgan Stanley and most recently RBC. Juran, along with financial advisor Melissa Paddock and client service manager Jocelyn Galvan join from RBC, where the team previously managed $150 million in client assets. Mills-Winkler gained 15 years of financial services industry experience with Waddell & Reed, following a successful 25-year career in the toy industry as a director of product development as well as a consultant. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Westminster in London, England.
Robertson Stephens Wealth Management has opened its first office in the US southwest, in Austin, Texas.
Financial advisor, Pam Friedman will join as managing director and principal, bringing more than $60 million in assets, and further expanding the firm's financial planning services into marriage, divorce, and other life events. The firm has 35 employees across five office locations in San Francisco, New York, Sun Valley, Holmdel, New Jersey, and Austin.
"Pam is well known for her expertise in divorce planning in Austin and will help strengthen our ability to offer comprehensive wealth management services to clients,” Stuart Katz, chief executive officer and chief investment officer of Robertson Stephens, said.
Friedman has been in the financial services industry for nearly 30 years. Starting her career in New York and London at CIBC and UBS respectively, she went back to Austin to become a professor at the University of Texas at Austin. She is also the author of the book I Now Pronounce You Financially Fit, which focuses on maintaining a healthy financial balance throughout marriage or in the case of divorce.
Raymond James
Raymond James has brought over advisors Deborah Juran in Monterey; David Colley and Jim Mills-Winkler in Long Beach; and Rod Smith in Newport Beach, California, to its independent broker-dealer.
Colley and Mills-Winkler join from Waddell & Reed. The two, who operated as separate practices while at Waddell & Reed, independently joined an existing Raymond James Financial Services-affiliated office, Crux Wealth Advisors, marking the practice’s third and fourth joins in the last seven months. Collectively, Colley and Mills-Winkler previously managed approximately $235 million in client assets.
Colley operates as chief operating officer with CWA and RJFS financial advisor, adding additional support to CWA’s platform for advisors. He was with Waddell & Reed for more than 18 years, and before that, had a successful 15-year career as a management consultant in the healthcare field. Joining Colley are team members and financial advisors Ken Newberry, Deana Dyjor, David Tamashiro and Dane Gambill.
Smith joins from Wells Fargo, where he previously managed more than $111 million in client assets. He has been in the financial services industry for more than 30 years, with experience at Pruco Securities Corporation and Lincoln Financial Securities Corporation, prior to Wells Fargo. Smith is now part of Concurrent's network of financial advisors who are registered representatives of Raymond James Financial Services. Smith is the fourth advisor to join Concurrent in the most recent quarter.
